Route 2 Capital Partners (“R2CP”) is pleased to announce its investment in Big Dot of Happiness, LLC (“Big Dot” or the “Company”). Headquartered in Menomonie, Wisconsin, Big Dot designs, manufactures, distributes and markets high-end party supplies that are sold directly to the consumer, primarily via eCommerce platforms. The Company was founded in 1999 by current President/CEO Sherri Yukel and has positioned itself as a “one-stop shop” for date-driven events (holidays) and everyday occasions such as birthdays, baby showers and graduations. The transaction facilitated Altacrest Capital, LLC’s (“Altacrest”) purchase of the Company, and R2CP provided both subordinated debt and equity in support. Big Dot represents the second instance in which Altacrest and R2CP have partnered to invest in an eCommerce business.
