2026 Mid-Year Review
During the first half of 2026, Route 2 made investments in three new portfolio companies and supported three add-on acquisitions. We also successfully exited our Fund I investment in Convert IT and our Fund II investment in Prospect Mold. To support our continued growth, we expanded our organization with the addition of Banyon Harrell as Vice President in our Charleston office. Additionally, we are pleased to announce the promotion of Charles Hiller to Vice President.

Team Updates
Banyon Harrell joined Route 2 as a Vice President on our investment team and is responsible for sourcing new investment opportunities, due diligence, and portfolio monitoring. Previously, Banyon was with Harbert Mezzanine Partners, a lower middle market private debt and equity fund. Prior to Harbert, Banyon was with ARCTOS, a sponsor-backed federal services firm focused on the space, defense, and intelligence markets. He began his career at Cowen & Company in the firm’s Diversified Industrials group. Banyon received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Georgia. He resides in Charleston, SC.
Charles Hiller was recently promoted to Vice President on our investment team. Charles joined Route 2 in 2020 and works out of the Greenville, SC office. Charles recently earned his MBA from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and holds a Bachelor of Science in Financial Management from Clemson University.
